After completing his studies in Architecture in Venice, he graduated in 1993 and began his career collaborating with various studios in Europe and South America, in particular Chile. In 1990, while still a student, he took part in the international competition for the new museum of the ´Acropolis of Athens´ with architect Toni Follina. In 1999, Mirco founded STUDIO CAVALLO21, based in Treviso, Italy, and in 2015 opened a second studio, SUPERSTUDIO21, in Köln, Germany. Operating between Germany, Belgium and Italy, SUPERSTUDIO21 specialises in Design and Interior Architecture in the Hospitality, Retail and Entertainment sectors, with a particular focus on the food industry. Mirco collaborates with some of the most important chains in the food sector in Germany, such as Vapiano, the Carlsberg-Astra Group, Bitburger Braugruppe, Café de Paris, , Wienerwald 2.0, Enchilada group, Café del Sol, and Thomas-group among the most important groups in Europe in the world of entertainment as well as important personalities from the world of entertainment such as Terence Hill, Steffen Henssler, Emre Can (German national team).
Mirco’s design vision is characterised by a personal multicultural interpretation, perhaps influenced by his childhood spent among the wonderful and colourful objects collected by his father, an esteemed antique dealer. This joyful and colourful approach to design leads to an almost dreamy conception of design, enriched by his years of academic studies in architecture and travel. Mirco has developed a unique and distinctive design approach, which can be described as a ‘new eclecticism’, where objects and thoughts flow freely, linked by an invisible ‘thread’. Each element of his designs conceals a surprise, a game or a dreamlike memory, conveying not only the essence of his work as an architect and designer, but also his vision as a contemporary man.
