Andrea Trebbi Architects
ANDREA TREBBI (RIMINI, 1973) GRADUATED FROM FLORENCE UNIVERSITY WITH AN HONORS DEGREE IN ARCHITECTURE IN 1999. HE IMMEDIATELY EMBARKED ON HIS PROFESSIONAL CARRIER. HE MET HIS MENTOR MARCO COSTANZI IN 2006 WHO HE IS STILL COLLABORATING WITH. IT IS THANKS TO THIS MEETING THAT HE DEVELOPED HIS IDEA OF ARCHITECTURE IN CONSTANT DIALOGUE WITH THE WORLD OF ART, ALWAYS WITH AN EYE ON STATE OF THE ART TENDENCIES, BUT INFLUENCED ABOVE ALL BY THE ARTE POVERA MOVEMENT FROM THE LATE ‘60s TO THE EARLY ‘70s AND BY AMERICAN MINIMAL ART. HIS IDEA IS BASED ON A DUAL PROCESS OF FORMAL REDUCTION AND ATTENTION TO MATTER, FASCINATED MORE BY THE IMPERFECT THAN BY AESTHETIC PERFECTION, MORE BY SILENCE THAN BY SCREAMING SPACE, FAR FROM DECORATIVISM. A DENSE MINIMALISM, WHERE EMPTINESS IS SOMETIMES USED AS A REAL ARCHITECTONIC OBJECT, OTHER TIMES INTENDED AS A FIELD OF PHENOMENA DETERMINING RHYTHMS AND PRESENCES. FROM 2011 TO 2013 HE COLLABORATED WITH VINCENZO DE COTIIS, WHOSE EXPRESSIVE TALENT HE HAS ALWAYS ADMIRED. FROM 2013 TO 2018 HE WAS MARCO COSTANZI’S PARTNER AT UNOPUNTOZERO ENGINEERING. IN 2018 HE OPENED HIS OWN PROFESSIONAL STUDIO.
