Architecture studio that comes from the collaboration between the Italian architect Giambattista Ghersi and the Spanish-Dutch architect Julian Mesa Slooten; based in Milan and Bologna with extensive expertise both in residential and commercial projects. Having signed numerous flagship stores on behalf of commercial brands which developed widely, AVAMPOSTI significantly specialized in retail design. AVAMPOSTI lean team of designers and professionals has defined a rigorous method to help leading developers conceive, design and achieve unique retail concepts, adaptable to different sizes and commercial contexts. Over the years AVAMPOSTI had the chance to imagine and find smart ways to replicate successful Food & Beverage formats, such as Berberè and Miscusi, helping actualize restaurant models that could convey social eating and sustainability values without ever sacrificing efficiency and quality of service. A transversal approach, made possible by a deep knowledge of building materials and their behavior in different environments, makes it possible to go far beyond the definition of a characterizing store layout. AVAMPOSTI primary mission is to study operational aspects and foresee customers’ needs, building the retail concept around the product and easing the work process that will define its identity. Being preliminarily involved right from the location scouting stage, AVAMPOSTI visualizes bespoke and integrated design solutions that preserve and enhance the property original architectural details, especially when they present elements of historical value which will enrich and distinguish the final project. AVAMPOSTI is committed to tailor each project to its unique challenges and local needs, being able to assemble a different team according to the venue, in order to keep operations smooth and efficient on each and every jobsite.
