Emre Dörter

Born in 1982, Emre Dorter started his photography journey in 2000 at Victoria University, Canada. After graduating from Anadolu University in Eskişehir, in 2005, he took his masters degree at Fashion Photography at Accademia Italiana, Florence in 2007 and started his professional career at Roberto Quagli’s Studio in Florence, where he worked for fashion brands like Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, D&G etc. In 2008 and he established his studio in Istanbul. Starting with Elle Decoration(Turkey) at his early years, he worked for various magazines like Vogue, Marie Claire, Maison Francaise, Food &Travel etc. His life-style and interior photography works, as well as and travel photos and articles as photo journalist, published in magazines like Travel and Leisure, Conde Nast, WallPaper (Istanbul Guide 2014) and several other magazines. Many of his architectural photographs published in architectural magazines and books, such as Taschen Books/Architecture Now 9, some of which took place on the cover, such as Architectural Record (USA), AIT(Germany), Concept(Korea) and various others architectural reviews in Turkey. He realized the Turkish Airlines’ project that took place all world cities which are the destinations of Turkish Airlines, from Africa to Americas and Far East. He contibuted as a photographer and also by video shooting, focused on places, peoples and cultures. Besides his professional duties, his art-works revealed in international exhibitions like Europalia Turkey 2015, and he has been the art director of installation «Beloved» (2016, Victoria and Albert Museum, London), curated by Murat Tabalıoğlu, and the EXPO 2017 Astana, Pavillion of Kazakhstan. Based in his Istanbul studio, he basically works on architectural, interior, still-life, lifestyle and travel photography.
