Nota is a leading architectural design studio in China. We are based in Shanghai, creating sustainable and future-proof designs. In 2019 Nota and its founder Shiyun Qian were awarded AD100. The 100 Most Influential Architects and Interior Designers in China. NOTA, a Latin generally understood as musical notes or annotations stands here for the perspectives or visions of the architects, who work in a similar way as what musicians do through scripting. We serve clients with the most ingenious needs, offering exploratory and leading design solutions. We have designed some of the most iconic specialty coffee and other hospitality spaces across China including sites for Seesaw and HEYTEA. We have rich experiences in turning Historical Buildings into Boutique Hotels, obsolete villages into top holiday attractions, and urban Retail venues into the most popular Chill-out Places such as FOODIE SOCIAL 2.0 by XINTIANDI.
