Pepe Leal

Pepe Leal has a degree in Art History, a degree that provided him with the theoretical basis to later project himself into the world of decoration. He continued his training in England learning painting techniques. After taking various interior design courses at the Polytechnic School of London, he returned to Spain. His first exhibition at Casa Decor 98 earned him the respect of critics and a privileged place in the world of decoration where each year he confirms his career setting trends. Since 1996 he has established himself as one of the rising stars of interior design and decoration, carrying out various projects of great importance. He has carried out projects as diverse as the renovation of several Paradores such as the Parador de Hondarribia, Carmona or Salamanca and the integral decoration of the new Parador de Corias opened in 2014; annual exhibitions with the fashion designer Lorenzo Caprile, with whom he designed the set for the Berlin Opera Ballet directed by Nacho Duato; the project for the Club House in a Golf Resort on the Alicante coast; various private homes; the style book for Paris Hilton’s shops; combining all this with his teaching work at the Faculty of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Among their most recent projects we can highlight: restaurants with different specialties such as Japanese food (Chic Sushi), organic food, such as Huerta de Carabaña, or the impressive old Greenhouse in the Los Peñotes gardening center in La Moraleja; different spaces in the Real Club de Tiro de Somontes. Among her many participations in Casa Decor, it is worth highlighting the awards received for best project and jury award in 2016 and finalist with the Origami space for Loewe in 2018. Among other awards, we highlight the award from Interiores Magazine for professional career in 2017 and in 2018 she also received the AD award for Interior Designer of the Year.
