35 Grammi, Frosinone – Italy

Project description

35 grammi is the first cornetteria – café in the commercial heart of Frosinone. A 45 square metre space in which colour and branding emphasise the duality of the company’s strategy. In a country like Italy – where the consumption of croissants is almost always linked to cappuccino – the owners’ request to create the city’s first hybrid location, where cornetteria and cafeteria merge into a single ‘two-faced space’ was the basis for the brand-identity study and the entire interior design.35 grammi was designed as a place that would express a new way of conceiving service and hospitality with the idea of a place that could provide a dual response, from morning to late at night – all day long. The furnishings – almost all custom-designed and made-to-measure by companies chosen from among the territory’s excellences – blend with the graphic communication, the interior architecture and the colour of the walls, creating an effect of continuity of surfaces and play of volumes that allows the space to move and at the same time visually empty, making it seem larger.
