Merging adaptive reuse with minimalistic design, the project seamlessly incorporated existing elements while introducing authentic Japanese cultural nuances. Shoji panels, a central high table overlooking a live sushi counter, and low-seating nooks evoke traditional Japanese dining. Norens adorned with calligraphy capture the essence of Bento B. Beyond culinary delights, a collaboration with Crossword transforms the space into a haven for literature and leisure, featuring manga, Japanese authors’ books, and a dedicated reading nook. Bento B emerges not just as a restaurant but a multifaceted cultural experience, harmoniously blending gastronomy with literature in the heart of Ahmedabad.
