Bridgette Bar, Canmore – Canada

Project description

Nestled in the bustling town of Canmore, Alberta, Bridgette Bar Canmore is a chef-driven bar in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. This is Bridgette Bar’s second location and much like the original Calgary locale, this space is heavily inspired by the 1970s era. It has a welcoming and unpretentious atmosphere that is thoughtfully curated.
Bridgette Bar Canmore features a classic mid-century modern design, but with an alpine twist. A suspended mid-mod fireplace with brick detailing draws attention in the main dining space while a dropped wood beam ceiling leans in the alpine aesthetic. Pockets of unique seating, including undulated plush banquettes throughout, are punctuated with vintage lighting, layered textures and unique art.
Given Canmore’s proximity to some of the best skiing in the Canadian Rockies, there’s a natural predilection here for chic aprés-ski gatherings. Moody, low lighting gives the interior of the restaurant a warm glow, creating a cozy and inviting dining experience. And guests can watch their cocktails being crafted from behind the beautiful mid-century wood-panelled bar.
When the Rocky Mountains are your neighbour, capitalizing on the view is a must. Floor-to-ceiling perimeter windows wrap the entire restaurant and open onto an expansive patio, giving the feeling of being tucked into the mountain landscape. The heated, enclosed patio is a cozy extension of the interior with banquettes, glowing lanterns and a central fire feature.
