Caffetteria Torinese, Sandro Pertini Airport, Turin – Italy

Project description

At Turin’s Sandro Pertini airport you will find Caffetteria Torinese, a brand created by Chef Express in partnership with Lavazza, a 90 m² space imagined as a small embassy of Turin style. The idea was born as a concept of the Made in Italy cafeteria of the future, a Caffetteria 4.0, able to offer a real coffee ‘experience’ for a quality break, with excellent products served in a refined, cool and homy environment. The space winks at the old coffee roasters in the colour palette and the rough finish of the walls, unlike the choice to keep the equipment in view, as well as the variety of seating on offer, which creates an innovative venue suitable for a young and curious clientele, always on the move. The furnishings have similar finishes and materials to those of the historic cafeterias, although they have different characteristics to accommodate the clientele of the near Ingredienti restaurant and/or other formats. The floor features ceramic carpets and technical flooring with a “terrazzo” effect with geometric designs, also provided in the Café counter area, in homage to traditional city venues such as the Caffè Torino in Piazza San Carlo.Inside the café, seats and tables alternate, leaving ample space for product communication. A portion of the counter, defined ‘experiential corner’, is in fact entirely dedicated to the tasting of filtered and mocha coffees. The Cafeteria 4.0 is a hybrid space where one can stay, consume and work, a welcoming, democratic, social environment open to all digital nomads.
