Gli Orsi Shopping Centre in Italy recently unveiled its renovated food court, designed by Reify. with a €1 million investment. The renovation focused on elevating consumer experience and reinforcing Sierra’s commitment to sustainability. The 1,000 m² dining area and 550 m² artistic bulkhead, now feature modern furnishings with electrical outlets, integrated lighting and greenery. The renovation also included new flooring, expanded family areas, and a stage for events and musical entertainment. Acoustic comfort has been optimized with high-quality materials, such as 100% recycled wood.
The food court’s innovative layout caters to diverse customer needs, featuring modern furniture with integrated electric plugs, an expanded family area, including a dedicated space for babies, creative zone where children can paint or play on provided digital screens, as well as an enhanced events area, with a new stage for live entertainment. These elements create an integrated space that enhance the dining and leisure experience. Whether you’re stopping by for a meal, meeting with friends, or working on a project, the space is adaptable to everyone’s needs throughout the day.
Reflecting a strong commitment to environmental responsibility, the food court was designed with sustainability at the forefront. This is evident in the adoption of ESG practices, particularly by using sustainable materials like 100% recycled wood, which significantly improve acoustic comfort, by reducing reverberation time from 1.88 to 1.03 seconds.
Special attention was also dedicated to honouring local traditions through the installation of a 550m2 bulkhead, which artistically represents the profile of the Biella mountains. This installation serves as a tribute from the project to celebrate and connect with the local community, reinforcing a sense of place and shared heritage.
The recently renovated food court hosts 10 restaurants and food stands in total, each with its own distinct specialty, ensuring a broad mix from local flavours to international favourites. The food court’s culinary offerings include authentic Italian cuisine, featuring fresh pasta, wood-fired pizza, and delicious regional dishes. For those seeking international street food, it also includes burgers and Bavarian specialties. Vegetarian and vegan options are also met, with healthy and tasty dishes for those following a diet without meat or animal derivatives. For desserts, visitors can enjoy handcrafted ice cream, frozen yogurt, and a variety of coffees and beverages.
