In the lively setting of the ‘Caput Mundi Mall’ in Rome, the ‘La Botte di Ferro‘ restaurant emerges as an expression of a new concept of harmony between cuisine and design, thanks to the synergistic contribution of Localiarreda and Tecnografica.
The project stands out for the use of Tecnografica’s ‘Via Condotti‘ wallpaper, in its sophisticated Grey variant. This work, hand-drawn by artist Marco Fontana, captures the essence of one of Rome’s most iconic streets, transforming a simple wall into a window onto a world of history and culture. The partial treatment of the walls, which leaves the gray painted walls on the sides of the paper exposed, is a thoughtful design choice. The intentional contrast between the voids of the walls and the solidity of the wallpaper gives a further three-dimensional perception to the gaze. The clever play of colors and shapes seems to transform the gray walls at the sides into two supporting columns, suggesting a bridge between the modern interior of the restaurant and the historic exterior of the eternal city.
The ‘La Botte di Ferro‘ restaurant is therefore configured as an environment where every design choice has been considered to stimulate conversations and celebrate cuisine, within a framework of impeccable aesthetics and unmistakable taste.
