In 1983, La Madeleine was founded in the USA, Dallas, by a French owner.
In 2002, La Madeleine was acquired by Rennes (France) based Groupe LeDuff, founded in 1976, who owns and operates over 1600 restaurants and bakeries across 100 countries and 5 continents.
La Madeleine was and still is an authentic French bakery experience that celebrates the prestige of bread making, satisfying market needs from morning till evening.
Since the opening of the very first store, menus and operations have been tailormade for airport locations: flavourful, fresh, credible and locally relevant and also fast, friendly and efficient.

• The decor has a modern look, with contemporary art adorning the walls, and menus reflecting a less traditional style of cooking.
• The store design has a French bistro like ambience; a bit more premium but appealing to and approachable for all kind of guests.
• The contemporary, aspirational and engaging design will also target the millennials.
• The choice of materials, colour palettes, interior, furniture, lighting, cutlery and overall brand environment should elevate the mood, complement the cuisine and will make a powerful statement.
• Technology, sustainability and culinary story telling are the subtle background of the design philosophy.
