Situated on Hays Mews, tucked behind the main club, Matteo’s is the latest addition to the iconic members’ club, Annabel’s.Blending together the nostalgia of the original club’s design whilst encapsulating the glamour and sense of escapism of new Annabel’s, Matteo’s nods to the past whilst remaining fresh and exciting. Serving southern Italian food from lunch through to dinner, members can enjoy another addition to Annabel’s list of restaurants.Featuring aged marigold yellow walls and a reproduction of the iconic purple, abstract patterned carpet of original Annabel’s, Matteo’s feels warm and comforting. An eclectic art collection brings the restaurant to life whilst red velvet banquettes and dining chairs upholstered in blue, green, ruby and yellow ensure all guests can sit back in style. The infamous Buddha is situated centrally and looks over guests whilst two antique candelabra flank the central banquette. A mixture of intimate corner seating and larger, communal tables echo the sharing plate-style cuisine.New bathrooms have also been created with an immersive experience in mind. Millions of pieces of mosaic come together to depict a jungle scene, whilst an impressive crocodile basin, crafted from a single piece of green onyx, forms the centre piece for the men’s bathroom.
