The design for this refurbishment of an existing restaurant focused on the mimicry of African fabric patterns through hard material installations. The fabric patterns were translated using copper piping, rebar, and timber to create fun, multi-dimensional ceiling and wall features.Timber from the site was salvaged and milled into wall- cladding and decorative features, while additional stock was provided to a local joinery shop focusing on sustainable solutions to create bespoke party tables.A selection of art and lighting produced by African artists rounded out the scheme.
