Símera Coffee Shop, Puebla – Mexico

Project description

Upon entering Símera, you discover a neutral space with an enveloping warmth, provided by timeless materials that highlight the aroma of coffee and create an intimate atmosphere for social interaction.
Símera connects with its users through its own formality. The quarter-sphere vaults envelop users in a personal ambiance, offering different framed views of the space. The first vault directs the gaze outward toward the reflection of the sky and sunset on one of the neighboring buildings. The central vault stands out for its formality, brightness, and interior, allowing proximity. The final vault frames the barista in their performance at the counter, the main stage of the space. The left side of the café features a linear projection that unfolds into the space through the height of the marble counters, organizing and defining the functionality between social areas and the work or waiting counter.
The guiding element of the space is the light that extends along the walls—a soft illumination that follows the rhythm of the shapes and allows each element to be discovered on the way to the coffee bar. The light has a gentle presence, wrapping around the user and highlighting the interior without distracting the visitors’ attention.
