Viajero Miami, Miami – USA

Project description

When designing the interior concept for this space and the story we intended to tell, we turned to cinematic references that profoundly influenced our inspiration, turning them into our design script. We chose to view spaces not merely as they are but as experiential stages. Each area possessed its unique spirit. The lobby, a burst of color and maximalism, became a blend of elements that collectively created its own universe. Bespoke elements, such as the loom of the sign, the hanging ceiling wallpaper, and street-style posters reminiscent of Latin cities, conveyed the message: you are in Miami, the capital of Latinos.
For the Delirio bar, we opted for a Latin eclectic spirit with tropical patterns and a color palette reminiscent of Cuba. In the coworking area, we drew inspiration from the American collegiate aesthetic of the 1980s, letting color and geometric shapes take center stage.
While each space had its distinct spirit, color served as the protagonist and resource throughout the entire project, acting as the language of emotion.

Questions and Answers

What was the brief?
Create fantastic environments that, upon the arrival of guests, evoke a surreal atmosphere—a microcosm that reflects the essence of what it means to be Latino today.

What were the key challenges?
As an Art Deco building with a distinct heritage character, our approach was to achieve the maximum impact with minimal intervention.
