There, he sold all kinds of grilled chicken and chicken specialities with great success.In the years that followed, Friedrich Jahn opened one restaurant after another and popularised the franchise system. Wienerwald quickly became a traditional Austrian business. In his restaurants, Friedrich Jahn focused on an atmosphere of Viennese charm and Bavarian intimacy. He took this unique feeling of hospitality far beyond the borders of Austria and Bavaria.WienerWald Austria has also been economically independent from the German WienerWald Group since 2003.. The restaurants have not only undergone an organisational change, but also received a new style. Today, they shine in a modern design and the brand has been expanded to include WienerWald Fast & Fresh and WienerWald eXpress.
